ABOUT

ABOUT

Yellowbox Cabins are unique in that they were originally part of the Olympic Village in Homebush, Sydney. The cabins were relocated to Wiseman's  Creek to become a lovely place to stay with creature comforts and stunning views.

Recently added our unique Glamping experience, Camp Stromlo, which is all off-grid. A private oasis for those couples wanting an escape from technology and to appreciate what nature has to offer. Perhaps a proposal is on the cards. We can help !

Only 15 minutes drive from Oberon and 30 minutes from Bathurst, there is so much to see and do in the area or just come and relax.

Prices start from $280 (for 6 person cabin or $200 for glamping) . Message us for a quote.

Click on Book a Cabin below to reserve or enquire about dates.

SEE & DO

THINGS TO DO

Local Tastings

There are a few wineries in the area which require you to book, but do tastings at no charge. Get in touch with us to find out more.

Wine tours can also be booked through the Oberon Visitors Centre.

The Bathurst Distillery serves great gin tastings and lovely cheese boards.  Fabulous to visit if you are a gin fan.

Mayfield Gardens

These stunning gardens are 15 minutes drive from our cabins. A stroll through the gardens is a must do and there is a lovely restaurant at the entrance for some refreshments. Look out for special events.

Jenolan Caves

An amazing place to visit with lots of cave tours (book early in high season) There 'are some great walks and options for relaxing over a meal or drink. Travel is approx 45 minutes to the caves. As the Caves have had their fair share of natural disasters and thus closures, make sure you book a tour online before coming.

Oberon Town

Oberon Town is very proud of their Local shops and Cafes. There is plenty on offer and crafts by locals at the  Craft and Saddlery Shop in Ross Street.

Kringle Cottage offers Christmas decorations and gifts all year round and  Coopers Antiques has plenty to  draw you in.

The local Farmers Market is on the first Saturday of the month.

Fishing, Golf and Fossicking

Fishing can be done at Lake Oberon or in any of the creeks accessible from the forrests.

Fossicking maps are available for those interested and fossicking equipment can be hired from the Oberon Visitor information centre.

The Golf Course is really beautiful , overlooking the lake. Just nice for a walk (if you dont play golf) and to see Oberons Dam wall. Great club house welcomes visitors to have a meal and a drink.
